Salàs and its environment

You’ll never get bored at Salàs! Its strategic location, very close to lots of interesting places to visit, brings lots of possibilities without travelling very far.

  • To the North: visit the very popular Vall Fosca (“Dark Valley”) and the Vall de Boi (“Boi’s Valley”), discover the very famous Romanic art route, the Collegats canyon, the National Park of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici. Also to the north, go skiing to stations like Port-Ainé and feel the torrential waters of the Noguera Pallaresa River.

  • To the East: nature and history. From the Natural Reserve of Boumort and Basturs’ lakes, to the Dinosaurs’ land around Isona and the route of Medieval castles.

  • To the West: experience the Noguera Ribagorçana river, going through the Mont-Rebei canyon, and visit the Gurb mountains with the typical Rivert and Santa Engracia villages.

  • To the South: walk along the Terradets canyon with its reservoir, continue to the Montsec mountains and descend to the Noguera plain.
